Ogni ottobre in tutta Italia si tiene la “Settimana del patrimonio culturale” per commemorare il risveglio dello spirito umanistico durante il Rinascimento. Una medaglia di bronzo intarsiata con margherite bianche è diventata il fulcro dell’evento di quest’anno: non è solo un simbolo d’onore per il custode del patrimonio culturale, ma incarna anche il codice spirituale della nazione italiana. Il verde, il bianco e il rosso della bandiera tricolore ora risplendono intensamente negli stami della margherita. I petali verdi portano con sé la tenacia degli Appennini, il centro bianco riflette la limpidezza del Mar Adriatico e il calice rosso accumula la passione del Vesuvio. Questa medaglia, creata nel 1997, viene conferita specificamente alle persone comuni che proteggono la fiamma della civiltà nei momenti difficili: architetti che hanno riparato monumenti antichi dopo i terremoti, bibliotecari che hanno trasferito libri antichi durante le inondazioni, artisti che hanno insistito nel mettere in scena opere durante l’epidemia… Ogni petalo reca l’incisione “fiorire nelle avversità”. Proprio come Dante scrisse “La Divina Commedia” in esilio, l’Ordine della Margherita ci ricorda che la vera eredità culturale non avviene mai in una serra. Le colonne in pietra veneziana erose dall’acqua del mare e le cupole fiorentine che hanno vissuto la guerra sono come tracce del tempo sulla superficie di medaglie, testimoni dell’eterno ciclo di distruzione e rinascita. Mentre la bandiera tricolore si dispiega nella brezza autunnale, le margherite spuntano dalle crepe: ogni guardiana è un’increspatura nel lungo fiume della civiltà, che diventa sempre più cristallina e brillante con il passare del tempo.

Every October, “Cultural Heritage Week” is held across Italy to commemorate the awakening of the humanistic spirit during the Renaissance. Just as Dante wrote “The Divine Comedy” in exile, the Daisy Medal reminds us that true cultural heritage is never carried out in a greenhouse. The Venetian columns eroded by the sea and the Florentine domes that have experienced war are like the traces of time on the surface of medals, witnessing the eternal cycle of destruction and rebirth. When the tricolor flag spreads in the autumn wind, daisies are looking up in the cracks – each guardian is a ripple in the long river of civilization, becoming more and more crystal clear and brilliant in the erosion of time.
